Unitarian Universalists: June 2005 Archives

The Service of the Living Tradition is a service in which the ministers who have passed away are honored, the ministers who are retiring are celebrated, and the new ministers who are receiving preliminary and final fellowship are greeted. Here is a friend from Andover Newton Theological School, who is receiving her final fellowship.Lilly_nye_get_final_fellowshipi

The chalice at General Assembly helps to give a religious center to the deliberations of the delegates. In the Assembly we collaborate to give expression to our religious and moral values.

General Assembly 2005

I feel called to begin this weblog following the General Assembly just concluded in Fort Worth, Texas.  The music and worship was great, and the message of gathering to the Unitarian Universalists was significant.  We went beyond the "language of reverence" and began to explore the potential of being really engaged in a spirituality of transformation and renewal.  In the coming weeks, I will post several reflections on some of the significant developments for our faith coming out of Fort Worth.

I am hoping that this is the beginning of a new tradition. Download 1029k.jpg
