Dear Clyde:
What fate it was that I was with you and in Vineland as Marjorie drew her last breath. I felt that I was there as channel for you and for Marjorie -- bringing with me all of the colleagues and UUs who care so much about you both.
Standing in the room at the end of her bed, touching Marjorie's feet through the shawl Rosemary had made, I was visualizing and silently bringing into the room so many people whom I knew were praying for you at that moment. I was aware that it was worship hour here on the East Coast. And I felt that I was linking all of that to you.
In my mind's eye, the room was indeed full of that "cloud of witnesses" others have referred to here. I hope you both felt the embrace.
Blessings upon you.
Beth
